Capacity dashboard
Onsite animals count toward room capacity. Sleepovers and upcoming intakes reserve space but are not counted onsite. Quarantine and emergency spaces are tracked separately.

Quickly change an animal’s housing location. Other details and sleepover status stay the same. Upstairs offices do not need kennel numbers.

A fresh roster. Multiple animals may share one kennel. Animals on sleepover keep their kennel reserved.
Import Shelterluv roster
Upload a Shelterluv Excel report to review changes before saving. Existing housing assignments, sleepover return dates, notes, and reservations are kept. New animals are imported as Unassigned until you choose a room.
Assign housing from Shelterluv
Upload the same Shelterluv report again. This previews room matches for animals already in the tracker. Choose a kennel for numbered rooms or an office for Upstairs animals. Nothing changes until you save approved assignments. Existing assignments are skipped.
Reserve a kennel
Mark a kennel as reserved for a returning animal or other reason. A sleepover also automatically marks its assigned kennel as reserved.
Upcoming intakes
Scheduling an intake automatically reserves its kennel. If the kennel is occupied or already reserved, you must confirm the warning. Intakes are not counted as onsite until marked arrived.
Housing locations & kennels
Upstairs offices show each animal by name and species. No cage numbers needed.
Test version: capacity warnings are advisory and do not prevent assignments. Animal assignments, sleepover status, and manual kennel reservations sync through Supabase. Reservations are visual warnings, not a database-enforced block on new animal assignments. Shelterluv import, weekly reports, and full original workflow are not included yet. Office assignments use a hidden database location placeholder, not a physical kennel. Intake reservations are warnings rather than server-enforced locks; concurrent edits require staff coordination. Do not use this test as your live shelter record system.
